Why do you need a CSCS card?
A CSCS card shows employers that you have completed the recognised qualification and health and safety test required for your construction role. Many sites ask you to hold the correct card before allowing you to work on site.
Your card should match your work and responsibilities. Employers can check that it is current and valid using CSCS Smart Check.

Green Labourer Card
For people working or planning to work in labouring roles
Whether you are new to construction or already work as a labourer, this route provides the qualification and health and safety test required for your Green card.

Blue Skilled Worker Card
For experienced workers in a construction trade
You must be working in your trade and able to demonstrate your skills. Complete the relevant NVQ Level 2 for your occupation to qualify for this card.

Gold Advanced Craft or Supervisor Card
For advanced tradespeople and construction supervisors
Advanced Craft cards require a relevant NVQ Level 3. Supervisor cards require a supervisory NVQ at Level 3 or 4. We help you choose the qualification that matches your occupation and responsibilities.

Most of the process can be completed remotely, but you can attend our centre for any checks or assessments that need to take place in person. Contact us to arrange an appointment.
